I didn't have too much to do and the curtains were closed which might be why I got up late around 7.30. I headed out soon after though and went to the road and waited for a bus. I caught a no.16 and it took me close to where I wanted so I got off and headed towards the hill I'd planned to climb. I'd seen a temple when I was up the hill the day before and I was planning to find it. The road ended at a wall so I walked around and into a kind of empty construction area and then climbed up an aqueduct where there was no wall. I kept going along the water channel but it ended and there was a wall so I climbed over it as not far on the other side was a road or path on the map and I soon found it. I headed north as I thought the temple would be there and the path had a barrier and 2 cars parked behind. I thought maybe this was thr temple so I looked around but it turned out to maybe be someones house with dogs. I wandered around into the pine forest on a path so I could head north more as the path went west but there was just trees and then an abandoned artificial lake which had a pavilion. I walked across and there didn't seem to be anything this way so I headed back but there was a dog in the way so I changed direction from what I wanted and headed east a bit. I checked the map after a few minutes and I was a lot further out than I expected so I changed direction and found the path which I took south. I listened to music and walked through the trees but didn't see any temple and I came to the ed of the hill and as the time had gone to 9.30 I started heading back. I couldn't find a path to the road and ended up tightrope walking along a ledge before squeezing along a football pitch before I could get down and walk through a gated community and out onto the road. I walked around to a bus stop and there were a few people waiting but not every bus stopped there so I did what I'd done as a kid and walked along to the next bus stop always looking back so that if a bus came I could either run back and catch it or run on and catch it at the next stop. The next stop turned out to be a fair distance but no bus came and I saw the temple I'd been looking for and it was on the northern side but not really up the hill. Then a bus came and I took it back to the hostel where I showered and packed up. At 11.30 I went to the bus station and was there with an hour to spare so I left my suitcase and went to the Likelong supermarket which was closer than the Walmart and it did have another floor of fresh foods as I suspected underneath. I got a few things for the bus trip and went back to the station. I went through security and managed to find somewhere to charge my things before the long journey. The bus was on time and had luggage space and seemed alright. I ignored my seat and sat further back where nobody else was sitting and I tried to catch up on my blog. After a bit a young Chinese guy decided to sit near me on the other side which was annoying as I could no longer go across to take photos and he also had a table which I wanted as I was about to eat my food of rice, meat, prawns, sweetcorn and broccoli. He put the seat all the way back thus blocking 2 rows of seats. I ate it on my lap as the bus wove around the mountain roads as we went down one valley and then up another and so on. Some of the views were good and I read a bit before the light faded away. We stopped for dinner but it was 25 yuan for the meal so I just ate the food I still had and later when we stopped at a petrol station I was able to get some more water and brush my teeth I'd done a little research but I expected quite a few more hours of the journey as wikitravel said the return journey was 24 hours. It got late and I tried to sleep which was not too bad although more people had spread out over the bus but the chairs reclined quite far. Around 11pm the bus stopped so the driver could sleep and didn't move until 5am and I slept most of this time.
