I woke up early and got my things together and went past the bed of the girl I chatted to the day before and she was sleeping with a guy in her bed. I put on my swim shorts and took a few things and went to the beach where I walked to the end where I thought the shipwreck might be, but I wasn't sure and I climbed over a few rocks and left my bag with some things there and headed out into the water. I started swimming out and found the wreck but I had left camera so I went back and got the camera and was there in time as some people on beach duty had spotted my things. I swum back out and took lots of photos, and swum round the wreck a few times before heading back after 8am. The currency exchange place was shut so I went to the hostel, packed up and ate noodles for breakfast. I left at 9.25 and there were lots of people going to the pier for the boat. I got my Korean won changed into THB and saw Jonathan from the dive shop on the way there and back and then met the Germans from the dive waiting for the boat. We waited a bit and the all got on board with luggage at the back, I went inside and down and there were lots of seats and the TV had the new version of the point break film. The film was OK, some of the same scenes but quite a few differences. After that I went upstairs with still a bit to go and the roof was packed with lots of people sunbathing, some of them burnt, others drunk already. I read for the rest of the way and we arrived, go off and had a big pile of luggage to get through so it was a bit before I got my bags and then walked to the hostel. I got to where it should be, but I couldn't find hostel, and a taxi wanted 50 baht even though it couldn't be far. I asked someone and it turned out the hostel was not so close which meant they had placed it wrongly on the website. I managed to get there and had empty room to choose a bed. I was hungry, so I went and got food and water from a macro supermarket - 500g of cooked sausages, a loaf of bread and some tomatoes. I went back to room to eat my sausage sandwiches and the woman came in to check the room and soon after an Indian guy came in from Mumbai and took a bed. I headed out and across the road was a Fight club tent which was announcing fight night this night. I walked east and went along the beach which looked nice with some sandbars but the water was shallow. there were some people farming something like cockles. I went inland onto the road to see a temple and went up a hill to get to a meditation area but there was nobody around. There were several building separate including a great hall which was not so great and then a viewpoint which was good and had a small temple place next to it. I headed back and had a look at the noticeboard which had messages for people doing meditation, guidance, rules and such. I left and went east to a road where there was a big tree as per maps.me. I decided not to walk to a Chinese monument as it was a bit out of the way and it was getting late and I went to temple nearby which had a strange chimney building. I walked back to the road and along past clubs and bars on the way and stopped at the supermarket for more food. Then I went back to the hostel and ate more food. I met an American guy in the room called Jose and it seemed the Indian guy had moved out. I went out again around 9 and as the fights were starting at 9.30 I headed into town to see what was there and it was quiet with not much happening. There was a food market but it was not so cheap and then I found a Tesco but there was no time to look as it was closing so I didn't get time to get the jam I had wanted. I got a bunch of bananas from a stall for 20 baht and went back to hostel. Jose was tired and I started to be tired but I blogged a bit and tried to see the fight but didn't get to as they had breaks on whenever I happened to look across. I read a bit until 11.20 and then slept.
