I woke up around 6.30am and the sunrise out of the window looked nice so I took a photo before going back to sleep and waking up at 9.30 having hopefully slept enough. I got my things and left soon after as the place can be a bit crowded and decided I would visit a couple of museums and maybe the park again before going to the internet cafe. I went to the supermarket and bought a cucumber, some juice and a mango from a stall nearby which was not so cheap at 45 pesos. I walked to the first museum and saw another museum on the way but a security guard stopped me as it was a masons museum and I wasn't a mason. The first museum was called the history of ideas and was opposite the university but it had been closed down and the next was the natural history museum in Rizal park but there was construction work so it was also closed. I finished off my breakfast as I walked to the national anthropology museum and inside there was an exhibition on a ship called san diego which had been sunk in a sea battle with Dutch pirates. It made me think of civ 4 again as they had privateers in the game. I left after using the toilet as it was cleaner than the ones in the apartment and walked in front of the city hall before trying to walk through a park. It turned out to be a golf course and the tricycle person I had ignored turned out to be the son of the owner. I walked along yhe city walls again on parts I'd not done before and got round to a barrier and it turned out a corner was part of a ticketed area for 75 pesos, there didn't look like much worth paying for but annoyingly it meant I had to go back to the last steps. I went to a museum nearby but it turned out to require booking, groups of 10 and 150 pesos entrance so that definitely wasn't happening. As I headed back to the city I gave a strange look to 2 girls who were carrying all of their luggage and they asked me what there was to see for a few minutes so I recommended the church and cathedral. I got a message from Ann but when I said I would be drinking later she said she didn't want to drink as it affects her badly. I went through a gate and came to a free garden area but there wasn't much so I went to Rizal park and the Japanese and Chinese gardens both of which were 10 pesos and were small but ok even in the light rain. I went to leave the park and there was a tiny park museum so I did end up in 2 museums in the end. I went back to the homestay as it was around 1.30pm and I got some food in Robinsons supermarket including biscuits, nuts, juice, noodles, tuna, beans, and some papaya I waited for them to put into pots and price but ended up just buying a whole one anyway. I got back around 2.30 and I thought it would be empty for me to eat and shower but there were quite a few people there including the main guy who probably owns the place his girlfriend. I had my food and showered and left around 3.30.
I walked past the church from yesterday and got a photo including the whole of the photobomb building. By the time I got to the internet cafe there were loads of kids all over which I knew would not be good news and there were no computers free. I waited a bit and got one for a couple of hours for just 25 pesos, most other people were schoolkids playing games like league of legends. Then I went back to the apartment and there were people cooking dinner but I made mine and ate before heading out to my previous hostel, wanderers where a decent rum and coke was just 40 pesos. I sat on my own for a bit and then asked someone if I could join there table which had several people around, despite being on his phone he was friendly and was a Fillipino German here with his friends. There were also two Dutch people and three girls, 1 from NZ, 1 from Weymouth and 1 from Plymouth who was travelling with a boyfriend. I talked mainly to the Dutch couple around the table who had just arrived in Manila. Later on 3 girls on the other end of the table booked themselves on the same cruise as me leaving tomorrow and other people left later on to sleep. I stayed up until around 12 or maybe 2am and drunk 4 or 5 rum and cokes as well as my bottle of strawberry Miranda and vodka mix. I got back to the apartment which always has an open door and went to sleep hopefully without disturbing people.
