I got up a bit late, past 7am and went downstairs to see if there was breakfast and there wasn't so I cane back up again and the Danish guy thought I was an early riser but I hadn't been anywhere. I got ready but didn't completely pack up and I headed out and walked to the train station. It is considered the vest train station in Thailand so I took another couple of pictures before going inside to find out what time the trains were. They were at 11.46 and then 2.30pm for 30 baht and I wasn't sure which to get but both would be fine. Nearby was a water machine so I filled up and walked to where the path up the hill was. My GPS wasn't working which was annoying but there was a temple near to the path up the hill so I had a look around and there were steps up so I took them. They finished at a temple which was not in the best shape and had a massive Buddhas footprint. The path after that was a dirt one at best but I'd come up so preferred not going back down and ended up climbing up rocks and boulders to get to the top if a boulder with a better view than the temple had had. The view was pretty good but maps.me told me there were more at the top and I found path which was heading in the direction of the other views and I headed along which was fine until I brushed past a small tree and got stung. I ran away from it and took my top off and for some reason went back and hit the tree with my T-shirt but the bee things was fast and stung me once or twice so I gave up and walked around the tree and headed on along a path with stones. then I realised that I'd lost my sunglasses during the getting stung taking off my T-shirt thing so I went back and looked around a bit but I couldn't see where I'd been and didn't find my sunglasses. I carried on but then went back again for another look as I wanted those sunglasses as it was a bright day, but I still couldn't find it. I carried on and was was more careful walking and was wary of any buzzing sounds and I came to a central area with several monkeys. From there I went South to viewpoint 4, then came back and went to Viewpoint 5. I headed back central again and went to see the statue there, then carried on and went to the last place, viewpoint 6 which was on boulder with no way down for a shortcut so I went back to the central area and took the road round. On the way I came to temples with more dogs and didn't stay long. I walked back into town and got some water on the way which is always useful in such a hot place. I went to the train station but I couldn't buy ticket until 11am as they only sold tickets a bit before the train runs, strange. So I went back to the hotel/hostel, packed and left a water for the Danish guy. I left my bags downstairs and found that checkout was at 12 so I didn't need to bother leave the room, but I got my deposit back and headed to the palace as it was still early. I made it but there were soldiers and no entry and I carried on to the end and then headed back and got some more water on the way as the machines are just 2 baht for 1 litre. I picked up my bags and went to station where the ticket was just 13 baht. The train was late and a southbound train came first before mine which had plenty of space when it came and people selling things. As it was close to lunch, I bought a rice and omelette box for 20 baht. It was a quick journey and we arrived there at 1pm where I walked the reasonable distance to the hostel in the heat. They had my booking and gave me the room which had a sliding door, a small window and a reasonable amount of space. I got my things and headed out going to one temple, then another, then to the river. I could see a nice looking white building, but I went to another temple first which was a decent size but nothing different. The white building was a temple which I thought was pretty special although the main building and its surrounds were close together which didn't leave space for a good photo. I took shoes off and walked around, going in the hall there as well. I left and was going to cross the river but I decided to see the highlights first and went the other way into town getting some bananas on the way. There was a big temple with several buildings but none open and it was near a school. Nearby was a market I walked past and came to another temple area which had a large long room with a reclining Buddha inside. I tried to go up the hill which is supposed to have a few temples on it but there was no path through so I left and went north along the road. There was another nice temple place so I crossed the road and had a look around. I left and crossed back and headed on past lots of monkeys on the pavement some not frightened of people. I found the hill entrance area, so I had a look around, and there was supposed to be a cave but I didn't see one. I headed up the main path since I hadn't seen any other routes and it was 150 baht entry so I gave it a miss and headed back down where there was a pavilion and more monkeys with food since someone had stopped on the road to feed them lots of bananas. There were too many monkeys and some were going in the road getting in the way of traffic. I carried on walking around the hill and at the back there was a cable car that takes people up the hill but it was down for maintenance. I carried on around the hill but the next entrance gated. School was finished for the day as there were lots of kids around and food sellers making the most of their custom. I went into the Tesco and got a rice dish, some plain rice, 2 melons and tomatoes then went back to the hostel where I ate and rested a bit. I got up about 6pm and ate some more before heading out to see across what there is on the other side of the river. I found a temple and a supermarket which I had a look in but it didn't have that much. It was getting dark, but I carried on to a Chinese shrine place and nearby a Chinese temple which was closed. The next temple was a decent size with a few buildings but there were dogs who wanted to attack me and the light was not so good now. I left and carried on and the next temple was pretty average and had more dogs. The next temple was closed which was a shame as looking in it looked good. As it was late I headed back and then ate some more and watched some Thai TV which was pretty crap. I read a while and then went to sleep
