I woke up early but lay there until 6.30 when the girl in the room was woken with breakfast ready. I got up and gad breakfast myself before heading out to my former hostel Fanta lodge to thank them for my towel which they accepted but not my money. I continued south but it was still early and the water place was closed. I walked past the memorial park towards a lighthouse and memorial I'd missed before but it turned out to be a waste of time as it was a naval base and therefore restricted. I headed back past a floating houses place where the tide was out. I went back into town and the museum was closed until 8.30 so I went to some supermarkets and bought lots of food for the boat trip. They didn't have toothpicks in any pharmacy but I did find some headphones only my phone seemed to be broken as it wouldn't play through both ears on all of them. I went back to the museum which was open now, I wasn't sure when checkout at the hostel was but I thought it would be ok especially since the place was empty. The museum was 50 pesos which I paid and it was pretty rubbish, there were just a few things worth looking at. I went back to the hostel, showered and got all of my things organised and left my suitcase there. Checkout turned out to be 12 but I was out before 11 and tried to find a jeepney to Iwahig. One came but it only went to Irawan which was about halfway so I got on and paid 20 peso for the ride. There were 2 Spanish people onboard so we talked a bit on the way as they were going to the prison as well as a couple of other places. The jeepney stopped at a crocodile farm and wildlife place they planned to go so I went in with them as it was only 40 pesos. We were in time to join a tour and saw the bones and skin of a large dead croc before going to the hatchlings room with lots of young crocodiles before seeing the larger crocs outside. There was a place where people could get their photo taken with a small crocodile in front of them and then a wldlife park where the animals had been rescued from private collecters and kept here now as they were too weak to release. I went round and had a look back at the information on crocs we passed quickly at the start, then I looked around but couldn't see the Spanish pair so I decided to walk the 7.5km to Iwahig prison and maybe catch a ride if one came. I walked about 1km before the Spanish arrived in a tricycle and stopped in front so I got in. The woman Gloria was videoing and taking photos as we went with some of the area supposedly part of the prison although there were no guards or fences here. We got to a prison gate and had to dign in but it was still quite a way on a bumpy track before we reached the main area. The trike stopped next to an old wooden building next to a grass square and we got out and took a few photos before going up the steps into the building where a group of guys put on a dance. Gloria was excited and joined them dancing and then the guy, Javi also joined in and I was left holding their camera but there was no space left to video I found out after. They were then looking at the souvenirs which were all quite expensive so I had a look around outside before joining them again and we gad a look around with the help of a prison guard. There was a more secure area and a medium secure area and we didn't see many prisoners. It was all a bit boring so we left back to Irawan and I paid my share of the 300 peso fare. There was a cafe there and I got a vegetable dish with rice while the Spanish jumped on a jeepney so we said goodbye and maybe see you later at Tiki bar where they went the day before. There was no jeepney there when I finished so I got some walking in and went past an eco adventure park but it didn't look much fun for one person. I found a water place and some sbacks and carried on all the way to a place called Bakers hill where they had food and a kind of kids park area, it was ok but nothing worth really visiting. I left and walked a bit further to a viewpoint where they had a zipline and horses for people to ride. Again not worth staying for and on my way back there was a house marked as an attraction called Aloha house but it turned out to be a farm that normally does group tours and would have been 250 pesos for me. I went south and then East to the bus station market and bought 3 bananas, a papaya and a Suha. I ate the Suha which was like a grapefruit except harder to peel and had more pips in. I carried on walking back into town and had gone a reasonable distance before I finished eating and washed my hands. I tried to catch a jeepney but I didn't understand where he was going. Then a trike said he would take me for the same price only when I asked the price it was 200 peso and while I was talking to him 4 jeepneys went past. There were no more for a bit and I was close to Robinsons mall so I went there to have a look. There was a bar at the front showing Dutch football so they may have had the Arsenal game on later but it was still a few hours away. There wasn't much else in the place to interest me so I left and got a jeepney which went back a slightly different route so I had to walk a bit back to the centre. I went to the internet shop but all the internet computers were taken so I went to the hostel, charged my things and ate the papaya. Then I headed out and got some food from a stand and tried a fish pancake and 2 lumpians (spring rolls) then I went to the internet shop which had space now. I left around 9 and went to Tiki bar but the Spanish were not there so I bought a beer and sat on my own. There were 3 singers on stage and they did some songs for Chinese new year for the Taiwanese in the audience and then rinsed them for money, schwe schwe or something. I left close to 10 and got my suitcase from the hostel and walked to the docks. The suitcase didn't roll well as the crack was getting worse but it made it and I bought a last bottle of water for the journey. There were loads of people there waiting to board and then we had to wait for a sniffer dog to check for mangoes before we were allowed on On board the entertainment was a guy and a girl with a keyboard player, I recognised them from last weeks trip. There were not many tourists on board and none to talk to so I went to bed around 12.
