I was awake soon after 6, which was too early so I slept some more and the was awake at 7am so I got up. There was a girl sleeping outside the door who woke up and came in as she had lost her key. I went and returned the scooter early with no problems and then went back to bed myself. I got up again at 9 and the girls were all back and using the toilet doing things. I got ready and left going to a nearby 7-11 for a pot noodle breakfast. Then I went to Tesco for some rice and picked up 1kg plus of bananas, 13 for 30 baht. My phone GPS was not working so on my walk I wasn't sure if I'd gone too far but I managed to find the temple I was going to which was not very big. I left and went to another temple, and it was not finished yet. I went to a place listed as Wake park on maps.me but it was closed. I went along a path West and people asked me where I was going so I said to the beach which was ok and I walked on past their houses. When I got there it was a terrible beach, so it was no wonder the people had asked where I was going. I went on the road then to the next beach which was a bit better. I walked along the shore, over some rocks and the next beach was much nicer so I stopped for a sit down and a banana in the shade. I carried on along a bit further and walked through a resort back to the road. I was further along than I had planned so I went up to a viewpoint and changed my previous plans. There was a place called Top rock restaurant and bar which was fairly quiet just a few people there. I went back down and north a little to the next viewpoint, called Amsterdam bar with a pool. Again I went down and north to a church, which was not good and had a snarling dog there. I went onto the road east, which was not good, more of a dirt track, so I was glad I missed it two days before when I was walking back. It joined up with the main road and I went along for a bit and then to another beach which I walked along and the views were quite nice but it was a bit shallow so not a place to swim. At the end I came to a fishing boat area and there was a river I had to go inland to cross. It was a fair diversion and I stopped at a 7-eleven for some noodles, biscuits and a orange drink. I was pretty much in the port area I had arrived at and went to see the battleship which was in good condition and was free to go inside as well where they had pictures of King Bhumibol in the hold. It wasn't possible to climb on top and I had a look at the King Rama statue nearby before going to the ferry boat ticket office. There were a few different offices and companies and I considered going straight to Chumpon for 650 baht but chose the 5am 310 baht option to Surrathani which should get me on the early train north towards Bangkok. I had a quick look around the park and beach before heading back to the hostel where I found Jose and 2 of the French girls still in bed. I decided to wash my clothes so got them together and went to a place next to Makro which was 30 baht for the machine and 10 for the powder and while it was washing I went to the Hacienda beach resort, had a quick dip then sat reading by the sea. I collected my washing when it was done but needed to hang it up and I draped a lot on the balcony with the rest on strings around my bed. I went back to the beach to read some more, it was a relaxing day and I still had bananas left so I had a few. Thankfully it didn't rain but it did get windy and some of my t-shirts got blown down but they all dried and I did some packing and tried to get my other clothes dry. I went to Tesco for food but they had sold out if the good stuff and I ended up with a bag if discounted cucumbers, salad cream and a cheese bread thing. I went back and ate it at the hostel then found that Jose was up and about and had had a headache but was going to C market for food. I went out a bit later to see what kind of activity there was and headed east past hostels and bars where some were drinking. I got to C market and went to the Kobra stadium next to it where there was kick boxing on that night but it started at 10 and it was only 9.40. Again it cost 600 baht and people were turning up to watch. I walked back on a different road but it was largely empty and I had a look at the beach resort where they were watching an X men film and not partying. I went back to the hostel, packed up all my washing and things apart from a few wet things I left hanging and I read a while, but as the other guys were all in bed, I went to bed early as I had to get up for the boat in a few hours.
